Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized Pipefitter apprenticeship program or equivalent trade certification (e.g., Red Seal – Canada, NCCER – U.S.)
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure pipefitting
Strong understanding of piping systems, blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications
Proficient in cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and welding various types of piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC)
Skilled in layout, installation, testing, and maintenance of piping systems including HVAC, gas, steam, and process piping
Knowledge of local plumbing and mechanical codes, as well as health and safety regulations
Ability to use hand and power tools, pipe fabrication machinery, and welding equipment
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying site conditions
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid safety certifications such as WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and OSHA/CSO depending on region
Physically fit to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and repetitive motion tasks
